The Power to Achieve

Are you Dare to dreamaware that you have the power to determine the course of your own life?  Did you know that you hold in your mind the power to achieve whatever goal you set for yourself?

Whether you want to acquire great riches, become famous, or simply live a happy, joy-filled life, YOU have the power in your psyche to achieve whatever you want.

This power is known as the Law of Attraction. If you are familiar with the movie, “The Secret,” then you know what I’m talking about.

Some believe the Law of Attraction is simply New Age nonsense. They pooh-pooh the idea that your thoughts can create your reality. If you are one of these people, then you probably are not aware that the people of the East were acquainted with this philosophy for centuries before it came into the western hemisphere. In fact, Buddha once said, “What you have become is what you have thought.”

How to Use the Law of Attraction

Simply knowing ‘about’ the Law of Attraction doesn’t make it suddenly ‘happen’ in your life. There are a few things you need to do to put it into action.

  1. The first step is to accept responsibility for the things that have occurred in your life, both good and bad. Don’t blame it on others, circumstances, or environment. Whether you are aware of it or not, you have determined the course of your life.
  2. The second step is to determine what you would like to change in your life. Think on this for a while and then make a list of the areas in which you would like to improve or the things you would like to accomplish. This list is very important because it lets the Universe know exactly what you want.
  3. Now comes the hard part. Act and feel as though the end result you want is going to occur. Be very careful not to allow negative thoughts to enter your mind. For example, don’t start imagining how difficult it will be to achieve your goal. Continue to believe it is yours and start taking steps towards that goal.
  4. Accept that it will happen. Your subconscious mind will try to get you to focus on all the reasons why it won’t work so you must have absolute faith in yourself and your positive mindset. Believe that you do have the power to achieve whatever you want.

An important factor to keep in mind is that using the Law of Attraction takes practice. If you’re like most people, you probably never realized your thoughts could influence events in your life so you didn’t pay much attention to them.

Here are a few other things to consider as you use this new power:

>> “Positive thinking” alone will not bring you the results you seek. You must take action (see Step 3).

>>  Don’t become impatient. The Universe works at its own speed. It could take weeks, months, or even years before you see results. But this doesn’t mean you should give up. Continue to believe that what you want most will come to you.

>> Don’t try to direct the Universe by setting your own standards on how your goals will be accomplished. Events rarely occur in precisely the manner you picture they will. In fact, they may take place through rather unusual means.

>> External circumstances can be deceiving. Do not read more into something than is really there. Keep your thoughts focused on what you want.

>> Just because your life up to this point may have gone badly doesn’t mean the future will follow the same course. It’s up to you to remove these ‘limiting beliefs’ because they will insidiously corrupt your efforts to use the Law of Attraction.

Finally, dare to dream! Believe in unlimited possibilities. Allow the Law of Attraction to work for you.

Awesome article! I like how it breaks it down into easy to follow instructions. It’s amazing how much sense it all makes and yet how difficult it can be to fully accept that we are so powerful. If only “church goers” knew that their creator built a program into their minds to bring reality to their prayers and dreams. Anyways, thank you again for sharing your article and I look forward to working with you more in the future!
