The Science Behind Creating Your Own Reality

Did you know there is actually a science behind “The Secret”?

Many people think it’s all ‘bunk,’ but Dr. Travis Taylor, a physicist in the southeast United States with over 20 years of experience, did a study on the subject and concluded it’s real. We actually do create our own realities … and it’s all based on quantum physics.

He put his findings in a book called, “The Science Behind The Secret – Decoding the Law of Attraction.” A fascinating read!

I believe that once you fully understand the mechanics behind how you create your own reality (and always have), you’ll never again be hindered by doubts that the process is real.

But don’t take my word for it. Go here to read about the book. Then you can make up your own mind if you think it’s worth investigating.

P.S. For those of you who already know the principles behind creating your own reality are real, this book will give you the tools to encourage others to try it for themselves.

P.P.S. You’re actually getting more than just a book. It’s a complete course that not only explains how to create your own reality, but guides you in the process.

When You Pray …

Peter Russell wrote the following in a post on his blog, Spirit of Now:

“We usually think of prayer as an appeal to God, or some other spiritual entity, to change the world in some way.”

Few of us recognize we have the Power within us to make the world the way we would like it to be. We don’t need to turn to some outside entity to change things for us.

There is a common belief that many subscribe to: “If only things were different, I would be happy.” When we think this way, we are telling ourselves the reason things aren’t going our way is due to circumstances outside of ourselves. We are unable to see that how we feel inside is what dictates how we interpret the world. In other words, it is our reaction to events and circumstances around us that determines how we view life.

When the world isn’t behaving the way we think it should, instead of beseeching some higher power to intervene and change things, why not instead ask for a change in thinking? Why not ask if there’s a better way of seeing things? And then wait for a shift in your perception. When we “pray” this way, we are allowing our Inner Knowing to chart our course.

We may not get an immediate answer. It may come later – perhaps in a dream or during meditation. Or simply during a time when we’re relaxed. All we need to do is listen to our Inner Essence.

By praying this way, we do not have to be concerned whether or not our “prayer” has been heard by some external source because, as Peter remarks, “The one offering the prayer and the one receiving it are the same.”

Taking Law of Attraction to Next Level

Excellent video on the various stages of manifesting based on the Law of Attraction. Not sure I totally agree with/understand the fifth level, but definitely thought-provoking.

Think Love

Your thoughts do affect the world. Think LOVE because when you focus on fear, that is what will manifest — not only in your life but in the lives of everyone on this planet.

The God of Religion

I’ve been reading John Shelby Spong’s latest book, Eternal Life: A New Vision, and am amazed at how much I agree with him. Particularly his outlook on religion. Even though he has been very active in the “religious world” over the years, he now looks at his faith through new eyes.

He writes: “’God’ is not an external being apart from us, to which we must relate as powerless ones to the all-powerful one.” It is not necessary to woo and flatter God to gain divine protection and a stake in eternity. Humanity is not in need of rescue.

For years, religious leaders have taught that God is the supernatural parent in the sky who takes care of us. They have encouraged us to see ourselves as ‘children’ and if we are good boys and girls, God will reward us. That reward is generally considered to be eternal life in “heaven.”

By the same token, if we are naughty, we will be punished. In fact, there are biblical narratives that suggest that disobedience will bring immediate punishment. Even death.

It is clear the primary tools of religion have been (and are) reward and punishment, with fear at the core.

But is this a true representation of God? Is God an external being that we must look to for help and the guarantee of immortality? Must we present ourselves as helpless children before God will meet our needs? Can we only please God when we ‘follow the rules?’

I think not. And in a future post, I will explain why.
